Mike Anson from the St. Lawrence/FDR Power Project recently sent his appreciation to the members that aided him with monetary and vacation donations. It is amazing how this family pulls together in time of need.

NYPA Family,

I would like to again say thank you so much. I really want you to know how everything you did for me and my family has helped us immensely. I can’t even begin to explain the stress you alleviated. Not only by the financial means, time off, but also by the kind words and support that you all showed. Your generosity has not gone unnoticed. Everyone that I tell the story to has complimented you all and told me how fortunate I am to have such a thoughtful group of people to work beside. I couldn’t agree more. So again, my family and I thank you from the bottom of ours hearts.

I am currently around 6 months post surgery and I feel pretty good. I am able to do most activities and work that I used to do without much issue. My diet is basically back to normal as well. At my 4 month check up, my CT’s and blood work were clear. I do still have a blood clot, but they aren't too concerned with the type that it is. I also have gallstones due to the surgery so they are hoping I can wait until next year to remove my gallbladder to allow my body to heal first. I will have another appointment with my doctor in Baltimore in September and continue seeing him twice a year for many years to come.

It has been nice to start seeing you all again and please feel free to ask me anything regarding the topic, I don't mind talking about it.

With thanks and appreciation,

Mike Anson
