The local is selling Solidarity Day Parade tickets at the union office for $10.00 US dollars each. Each site has tickets for sale as well. There are 8 cash prizes, with the grand prize being $10,000.00 cash. Second prize is $5,000.00, 3rd is $1,000.00, 4th $500.00, 5th $400.00, 6th $300.00, 7th $200.00 and the 8th prize is $100.00. The drawing will be held on the day of the parade, September 6th at Springs Park. You do not need to be present to win. More information will follow next month regarding the parade and when and where to meet if you are interested in walking to show your support for solidarity and union pride.
The annual BG Summer Picnic will take place in Mine Kill Park on August 13th. There will be more information to follow.
The annual CEC Golf outing will be held either late August or early September, more to follow.
