NYPA employees from throughout the state met in Utica mid-June for a fly day to hone their piloting skills and explore use cases for drone missions. By implementing drones in day-to-day operations, NYPA is improving safety and efficiency in asset maintenance and monitorization.
STL members Roy Lawrence and Ryan Lannis gave a PowerPoint presentation on Long Sault Dam Orthomosaic Mapping. BG members Justin Knowles and Bill Ristau gave a PowerPoint presentation on the safety of automated flights. We were happy to be a part of this and look forward to what this technology holds for the future at NYPA.
