Healthcare Grievance Update- Please continue to scrutinize your medical billing for co-pays and excessive co-pays being charged for same day service and multiple diagnostic testing. We are continuing to gather copies of invoices at the union office.

Drone MOU Update - The locals are reviewing a recent Drone MOU sent by the company.

Benefits Book Update - A meeting is scheduled for February 22nd to discuss necessary language changes. It is our anticipation to review these changes with our hired healthcare consultant.

PFL Update - Recent language changes have been agreed to by the parties. it is expected the PFL rollout will take place following the mandatory notification period to employees.

Bylaw Change - The recent amendments to the bylaws have been approved by the International Office. We have begun discussion with NYPA regarding necessary contract language changes to begin the required payroll deductions. Local leadership is discussing with NYPA Payroll the option of returning the union dues that were deducted from the 3rd January paycheck to members. It's expected that members will see these dues returned in their March 28th paycheck. As always, please review your pay stubs.

Update from Apprentice Committee - A shout out to all apprentices in their programs! Reports indicate our members are demonstrating a high degree of aptitude in their programs from both the NYPA training department and the apprenticeship sub-committeemen. We as Union Leadership are very pleased with the support of this program from both the apprentices and the journeymen alike.  Keep up the good work!

Vacation time - Please watch your time and use accordingly so you aren't losing time earned.  Current contract language allows for the carryover of accrued vacation. Members with many years seniority, please refer to Art. VIII Sec. 5 of the CBA and use your time accordingly.

Many thanks to the B/G Unit for the cooperation extended during the recent photo shoot and to Sister Trish Hennessy for her willingness to travel to the site and help accomplish our mission. We are planning visits to CEC and ST. Lawrence as weather and time permits.
