New York State Paid Family Leave Vote

Due to COVID restrictions, we won’t be able to complete the vote tally at the union meetings. There will be a ballot sent to the shop stewards for each member of the union to vote on whether or not to continue to participate in the NY State Paid Family Leave for future years. These ballots should be sent back to your shop steward by January 4, 2021 so that they can be tabulated at the January E-Board meeting. We sent out information earlier in the month to advise that the cost for the program is increasing from 0.27 % in 2020 to 0.511% in 2021 of an employee’s gross wages.
