New Member Orientation

On October 10th, Local 2032 held a new member orientation in Massena. This was followed by a joint training on October 11 with Marcy-CEC and Blenheim Gilboa-B/G which was held in Utica. This is the first training that new union members of Local 2032 participated in. Each training is a four-hour course which was given by the IBEW Education Department. Third District Rep. Julie Cosenza was also present. The New Member Orientation is geared to engage new members and create a strong union bond by giving them an understanding of what organized labor and the IBEW represent and to create an alliance and a brother/sisterhood. It is the leaderships desire that the training will encourage more activism within the Local.
