Thank you to all that attended the post-holiday gathering at the Elks Lodge on March 8th. We had several members and their guests attend the event. We would like to thank the Elks Lodge in Massena for hosting us, Molly Hopper for organizing the gathering, and Randy Woodside for his assistance as well.
Please ensure that your senior student applies for this year’s IBEW Local 2032 Scholarship. The memo was presented in February’s newsletter as well as emailed to all members on 2-13-24. If you have any questions, please call the union office. The last date to apply is Wednesday, May 15th, 2024. Good luck to all the senior students who apply.
Our annual Adopt-A-Highway clean up date is scheduled for May 4th, 2024, at 10:00 am. We ask members and their families to attend. This is a great way for your students to receive community service credits. Please arrive at the Twin Ponds across the road from the Rt. 131 intersection with Barnhart Island Road a little early to sign in and receive your safety gear so that we can go over the safety guidelines. DOT will provide the trash bags, hardhats, and reflective vests for safety. We encourage you to wear your NYPA safety gear- vests, gloves, and waterproof boots, and bug spray if you have it. We will grill some hotdogs and burgers and provide drinks after the clean-up to show our appreciation for your service. Bring a chair if you would like!
