  • Be aware of the increased risk of accidents: The days after the time change can be dangerous, so be extra alert. 
  • Prepare for the darker season: A flashlight is a good idea, and you can also check your headlights and make sure they're working properly. 
  • Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors: Replace the batteries and test them to ensure they're working. 
  • Prepare an emergency kit: Include items like warm clothes, a blanket, flashlight, batteries, water, and non-perishable snacks. 
  • Check your car: Perform a full inspection, including checking your mirrors, brakes, steering system, and tires. You can also inspect your car fluids, like the engine oil, coolant, brake fluid and washer fluid.
